The Story
Located in the Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport, is Kestra, a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant that beautifully weaves several concepts of deliberate and effortless gesture.
The name is derived from the kestrel bird, known for it’s controlled hovering and precise movements, which mirrors the sophisticated, measured motion from brand elements.
An orchestrated identity
The Kestra icon embodies a symphony’s orchestrated movements, a bird in flight and an abstracted K.
The movement of a conductor’s baton served as inspiration for the icon’s linear elements.
Every element moves in perfect synchronization
The system creates a visual tempo that speaks to both the precision of orchestral timing and the flowing sequences of classical dance using stroboscopic photography.
