Shea Draney
“We’re all different. Especially him. But there’s something kind of fantastic about that, isn’t there?” — Fantastic Mr. Fox

Shea has spent over a decade in the digital design and development space, crafting thoughtful user experiences and building websites that actually work the way people expect them to. At Proportion Design, he blends creative problem-solving with technical expertise to help brands and organizations translate their stories into the digital world.
A native of Arizona, Shea traded desert cacti for New England fall foliage when he moved to Boston to study Industrial Design at Wentworth Institute of Technology. His introduction to design came through skate culture, and his first brush with coding happened while endlessly tweaking his Myspace profile. Over the years, he’s worked at Hasbro, Artaic, and SAP—always focusing on connecting physical products and brand identities to their digital counterparts.
Now living in Yakima, Washington, Shea appreciates the pace and character of a small farming community, where he’s developed a growing interest in grape cultivation (and the wine that comes with it). When he’s not at his desk, you can usually find him mountain biking or snowboarding in the Cascades, or floating down the local river.
